The Law Firm of Robert A. Ades & Associates, P.C. has grown from one office in The District of Columbia to include principle offices in Landover, Maryland and Springfield, Virginia. The Law Firm of Robert A. Ades was established for the sole purpose of providing competent legal services exclusively to members of organized labor.

William A. Bland, Esq.

President & Owner

William A. Bland is a native Washingtonian who attended local public schools, including Mildred Greene Elementary and Hart Jr. High School.

He graduated from Anacostia Senior High school in 1972 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Bowie State University College (now known as Bowie State University) in 1976. He graduated Cum Laude. From there, he went on to attend Syracuse University School of Law in Syracuse, New York where he earned a Juris Doctor Degree in Law. While studying for his law degree, he worked two years as a Student Law Clerk for the Honorable Joseph Mclaughlin, Chief Judge of the Onondaga County Family Court in Syracuse, New York.

Shortly after graduating from Law School in 1979, he joined the Law Firm of Robert A. Ades & Associates, P.C. as an Associate Attorney. Eight years later in 1987, he became Managing Attorney in charge of the Firm’s District of Columbia office. In May 2015, after the death of Robert Ades, William Bland became the President and Owner of the Law Firm of Robert A. Ades and Associates. He currently oversees the daily operations of three offices in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
